TrendDots Indicator is a proprietary technical trading tool that employs detrend techniques and a pattern recognition algorithm to spot market direction by detecting trend reversals.

TrendDots can be used as a market timing tool in conjunction with your favorite set of technical indicators as part of your trading system. It must be emphasized that TrendDots IS NOT a trading system and SHOULD NOT be used to generate trading signals by itself.

TrendDots Indicator displays trends as follows (Dots at Bar Close):

UPTREND > Blue dots starting with 2 consecutive blue dots preceded by any other color dot.
DOWNTREND > Red dots starting with 2 consecutive red dots preceded by any other color dot.
TREND PAUSE > Two consecutive cyan or magenta dots.
PRE-REVERSAL > Blue dot preceded by a magenta/red dot or a red dot preceded by a cyan/blue dot.
